PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device having a paper feeding device hardly blemishing a recording sheet by a return lever for preventing double feeding. SOLUTION: In the paper feeding device, a paper feeding device frame body is provided with a guide face for supporting the side edge of the recording sheet in a paper width direction, and the guide face in the turning range of a return lever turning in contact with the tip edge of the recording sheet during return operation by the return lever for preventing double feeding, is offset in the paper width direction from a peripheral part so as not to contact the side edge of the recording sheet. Sliding resistance between the recording sheet in return operation and the guide face is thereby reduced to relieve a blemish at the tip edge of the recording sheet caused by the return lever.
