PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform processing of data for driving a recording head. SOLUTION: A data processing section 20 performs the processing of data in parallel with the driving of a thermal head 8 in pipe-line processing. The data processing section 20 is equipped with a first processing circuit 26 and a second processing circuit 28 in order to perform the pipe-line processing in the two stages and an intermediate buffer section 27 is provided between the processing circuits 26, 28. The processing is respectively performed by the processing circuits 26, 28 by each one line for every line cycle.
