PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the solvent component or the like of an ink mist or an ink which has evaporated from an illustrating medium from adhering to the ink drop discharging surface side of a recording head. SOLUTION: This recording device 14 grips the illustrating medium 38 by a grip section, and feeds the illustrating medium 38 in the X-axis direction on a platen 30 by the rotation of a driving roller 40 of the grip section. In the meantime, the recording device 14 discharges ink drops to the illustrating medium 38 by an inkjet type recording head 28 which can move in the Y-axis direction on the platen 30, and performs printing/illustrating. On both sides of the recording head 28, a blower for which a blowing port is tilted diagonally downward so that air can flow in the X-axis direction toward the platen 30 is attached, and air containing the ink mist on the illustrating medium 38 is blown away in the X-axis direction on the platen 30.
