PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-frequency oscillator capable of increasing/decreasing output power of a high-frequency oscillation signal. SOLUTION: The high-frequency oscillator includes an oscillation circuit 20a which generates an oscillation signal having a prescribed fundamental frequency; and an amplifier circuit 20b which amplifies the oscillation signal, and outputs the amplified oscillation signal from an output terminal T<SB>3</SB>of the amplifier circuit 20b. The high-frequency oscillator includes a comparison circuit 20c for comparing the DC voltage V<SB>DRV</SB>of the output terminal T<SB>3</SB>of the amplifier circuit 20b with a reference voltage V<SB>REF</SB>, and changes the output power of the amplifier circuit 20b by the action of the comparison circuit 20c.
