摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid state imaging device which suppresses the occurrence of shading. SOLUTION: The solid state imaging device 100 comprises a plurality of first photoelectric conversion areas 101 which are arranged vertically and horizontally on a semiconductor board, and a plurality of second photoelectric conversion areas 102 which are arranged vertically and horizontally on the semiconductor board. Each first photoelectric conversion area 101 is covered with a microlens 109 on the top thereof, and each second photoelectric conversion area 102 is arranged between respective adjacent first photoelectric conversion areas 101. When light is incident on the second photoelectric conversion area 102 and is blocked by the microlens 109 maximumly in a certain incident direction (X and Y directions) in a front view, the incident direction is defined as a first direction. When the incident light avoids the block of the microlens 109 maximumly in a certain direction (H direction), the direction is defined as a second direction. The length of the aperture of the second photoelectric conversion area 102 in the first direction is longer than that in the second direction with regard to the center of the aperture.
