PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently laminate a disk substrate and a cover sheet together without leaving bubbles therebetween even when the cover sheet tends to be deformed. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing an optical disk, a disk substrate 12 supported to face a cover sheet 24 is moved onto the cover sheet 24 at the speed of 0.03 m/s to 0.15 m/s while the disk substrate 12 and the cover sheet 24 are held in the vacuum atmosphere of 5 Pa to 100 Pa, and the disk substrate 12 is then mounted on the cover sheet 24. Thus, even when a part of the cover sheet 24 floats from a mounting surface 49, while the cover sheet 24 is corrected to be flat by the weight of the disk substrate 12, air present between the disk substrate 12 and the cover sheet 24 is efficiently discharged before the entire disk substrate 12 comes into contact with the cover sheet 24.
