PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration removing system tunable in a short time. SOLUTION: The method for determining, in a vibration removing device comprising a vibration removing base supported by a plurality of active actuators and a control means damping-controlling the active actuators according to a predetermined control function, a plurality of set values for the control function by genetic operation comprises a chromosome formation setting step of converting a value within the allowable range of each set value for the control function to a binary initial value of a predetermined bit number to generate a chromosome; an evaluation step of substituting the initial value to the control function, giving a disturbance to the vibration removing base to make the control means perform control operation, and measuring the damping characteristic to calculate an evaluation value; a selection step of selecting chromosomes of the number of the set values from chromosomes having evaluation values within a predetermined range; and a crossing step of selecting two or more chromosomes from the selected chromosomes, and replacing a part of bits of each chromosome by the bits of the other chromosome to cross them.
