PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of toner preparation that is superior in stability with respect to changes in the environmental conditions and that generate does not undesirable aggregates. SOLUTION: The toner preparation process includes heating of a mixture of latex and colorant dispersion, under flocculants and loading of alumina particles. The heating is conducted at a first temperature which is generally lower than the glass-transition temperature Tg of polymers contained in the latex, and at a second temperature generally higher than the glass-transition temperature Tg of polymers.
