PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method by which thiazoles can be produced in high yield in spite of a simple method such as easy handling of reaction raw materials. SOLUTION: The method for producing the thiazoles represented by general formula (2) (wherein, R<SP>1</SP>denotes an alkyl group, an aryl group, an alkoxy group, an aryloxy group, an alkylthio group, an arylthio group or an amino group; and X denotes an atomic group constituting the ring) is carried out as follows.
