PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a herbicidal composition for paddy rice controlling paddy weeds, having reduced phytotoxicity to rice and comprising benzobicyclon. SOLUTION: This herbicidal composition for the paddy rice comprises (a) the benzobicyclon and (b) one or two or more kinds of compounds selected from calcium propionate, sodium p-toluenesulfonate, calcium acetate, ammonium acetate, sodium lactate, potassium chloride, lactic acid, succinic acid, propionic acid or urea.
