The corset has a fore part with a chest clamp (2) and an abdomen clamp (5) that are separated along a body frame such that flat hinged joints (4, 4a) are fastened to the clamps. Spring tension of the flat hinged joints acts upon the clamps and against the tension of an abdomen belt (3). The spring tension of the hinged joints holds the corset in a stable position with the body.
