<p>A resin composition which comprises a vinyl alcohol polymer (A) having polyoxyalkylene-containing monomer units represented by the following general formula (I) (wherein R<1> represents C1-2 alkyl; R<2> represents hydrogen or C1-4 alkyl; and n is an integer of 1 to 100) and a noncrystalline silica (B) having an average particle diameter of 1 µm or larger, wherein the ingredients (A) and (B) are contained in amounts of 10 to 50 parts by weight and 50 to 90 parts by weight, respectively, per 100 parts by weight of the sum of (A) and (B). From this resin composition, a dispersion having a low viscosity and a high concentration can be easily obtained. The dispersion can be a recording material which, when applied to a substrate, is excellent in ink absorption, unsusceptibility to ink running, and adhesion strength.</p> |
