<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a package for accommodating light emitting device which effectively radiates the light emitted from a light emitting element to the outside of a light emitting device and ensures excellent shock resistance and ultra-violet ray resistance, and also to provide a light emitting device. <P>SOLUTION: The package for accommodating a light emitting element comprises a base material 1 including a setting portion for setting the light emitting element 4 on the upper surface thereof, a reflecting member 3 which is mounted to surround the setting portion at the upper surface of the base material 1 and is formed of a glass frame including the internal circumferential surface formed as the reflecting surface to reflect the light emitted from the light emitting element 4, and a frame body 2 which is joined to surround the reflecting member 3 at the upper surface of the base material 1 and allows the internal circumferential surface to be mounted at the external circumferential surface of the reflecting member 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
