PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein various faults and defects, such as discontinued signal wiring, are likely to occur, accompanying the increase of liquid crystal display sizes, because the effective area ratio of the liquid crystal panels naturally becomes large. SOLUTION: This method uses a sheet of a photomask to form transparent conductive pixel electrodes and an auxiliary signal lines, consisting of a transparent conductive layer or a laminated layer of a transparent conductive layer and a metal layer on a passivation insulating layer, by using a photosensitive organic insulating layer, in halftone exposure technology.
