PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the quantity of ink supplied to a recording head, even if ink is not heated or an inside diameter of an ink channel pipe is not made larger, in the use of a plurality of inks different in viscosity. SOLUTION: This inkjet recording apparatus is equipped with: a plurality of recording heads; a plurality of ink tanks for storing the ink; a plurality of ink channel pipes for leading the ink to the plurality of recording heads from the plurality of ink tanks; and a plurality of intermediate tanks which are arranged midway through the plurality of ink channel pipes so as to once store the ink. When the viscosities of the inks stored in the respective ink tanks are different from one another, the plurality of ink tanks and the plurality of intermediate tanks are arranged so that a difference between the height of the ink tank and that of the intermediate tank can become larger in the case of the higher-viscosity ink.
