PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display and a driving method thereof that prevents a voltage drop by distributing discharge current generated due to address discharge. SOLUTION: The plasma display panel is equipped with a 1st address electrode driving part 210 which applies address data to address electrodes belonging to a 1st address electrode group as one of groups formed by grouping the plurality of address electrodes and a 2nd address electrode driving part 220 which applies address data to address electrodes belonging to a 2nd address electrode group as one of the plurality of groups, and also outputs a signal controlling the 1st and 2nd address electrode driving parts so that the address data are outputted at different times. Accordingly, the discharge current generated by address discharge may be distributed in terms of time, and a voltage drop occurring in the address period may be prevented.
