PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lensmeter capable of accurately measuring the refraction characteristics of spectacle lenses, at locations in matching with the centers of the wearer's pupils. SOLUTION: Arithmetic control circuits (80 and 211) determine the refraction characteristics of locations, corresponding to the centers of the pupils of the spectacle lenses (LL and RL), on the basis of half the distances (LHPD and RHPD) between the pupils.
