PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a range hood having an IH cooking heater specification for improving polluted air catching efficiency. SOLUTION: This range hood for the IH cooking heater is constituted in such a way that an exhaust means 2 is provided outside a hood body 1, the hood body 1 is formed into a thin type whose lower face is opened, and the hood body 1 is provided with a recessed part 21 for catching polluted air by cooking to block an opened part on its lower face. A side wind interference prevention stream D is fed to slightly outside in an inclination manner relative to a vertical line from an opened fringe part of the hood body 1 so that a side wind generated by external factors such as human motion, opening and closing of a door, air conditioning or the like does not affect polluted air C generated in cooking by the IH cooking heater B and causing no ascending air current, thereby increasing polluted air C catching efficiency.
