PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a horizontally sliding screen door capable of solving the vibration of a winding shaft and the flapping sound by its contact with a storage frame involved by solving the problem that the mismatching of the center of gravity in a cross section of the winding shaft with the axis of the winding shaft due to the presence of an attachment part for attaching a mesh material in the winding shaft causes the shaking of the winding shaft in the shifted center-of-gravity direction at the time of rotating the winding shaft to wind or unwind the mesh material. SOLUTION: This horizontally sliding screen door 100 comprises a frame including at least an upper frame 20a, a lower frame 20b, and the storage frame 60; a style 40 adapted to be laterally movable along guides 22a and 22b both ends of which are arranged within the upper frame and the lower frame; the winding shaft 62 rotatably provided within the storage frame; and the mesh material 50 having one lateral side attached to the vertical frame and the other end fixed to the attachment part of the winding shaft, the mesh material being adapted to be wound on the winding shaft by an elastic member 63.
