A shopping system includes a center server ( 12 ), a dedicated terminal ( 14 ) always connected to the center server ( 12 ) via the Internet ( 18 ), and user ID cards ( 50 ). When information on selection of a specific commodity is transmitted from the dedicated terminal ( 14 ), the center server ( 12 ) transmits an advertisement moving picture file of the commodity to the dedicated terminal ( 14 ). Moreover, when a purchase request of the commodity is transmitted from the dedicated terminal ( 14 ), order information on the commodity is transmitted to a server ( 16 ) of the commodity provider. The dedicated terminal ( 14 ) is connected to a television ( 29 ) and includes a card reader ( 26 ) for reading ID cards, a dedicated Web browser, and means for reproducing a moving picture file having audio via the television ( 29 ). It also has a remote controller ( 52 ) for selecting buttons on the television screen. |
