STORAGE DEVICE WITH PLURALITY OF INTERFACES AND CONTROL METHOD FOR THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To operate a SAN function independently in a storage device of a hybrid type with both the SAN interface and a NAS interface in spite of troubles of the NAS function and loads of NAS and to realize it with a simple hardware. SOLUTION: A controller of the storage device is mounted so that it can be operated independently by a NAS control board for accepting an I/O command by the file and a SAN control board for accepting an I/O command by the block. The NAS control board converts the I/O command by the file of the NAS interface into the I/O command by the block and transmits it to the SAN control board. The SAN control board accesses data stored in a disk device by the I/O command by the block received from the SAN and the I/O command by the block received from the NAS control board.
