PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily grasp a change part caused according to upgrade of a software. SOLUTION: This software update device for updating a first software to a second software newer than the first software comprises an information retrieval means; an information changing means; a holding means; and an output means. The information retrieval means can retrieve first information contained in the first software, which is to be changed according to updating to the second software. The information changing means can change the first information retrieved by the retrieval means to second information included in the second software and corresponding to the first information.
