PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently deal with customers without using any large-scaled device. SOLUTION: First and second input means(for example, a keyboard 110 and a scanner 111 or the like) are arranged as a data input means, and merchandise sales information based on merchandise data inputted by the first input means 110a and and 111a or the like and merchandise sales information based on merchandise data inputted by second input means 110b and 111b or the like are divided into the right display and the left display so as to be displayed on a display unit 120 for customer, and the merchandise sales data processing is made executable independently right and left (dual mode). When the dual mode is set, the vertical length of a purchase history column to be displayed on the display unit 120 for customer is displayed shorter than that in the case when an independent mode is set, and the display itself of the purchase history column is omitted.
