摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescence detection apparatus capable of reducing the variation of an output level due to the conveyance fluctuation of an object. SOLUTION: This fluorescence detecting device 1 is provided with a light emitting unit 6 and a light receiving unit 7 arranged so as to be faced with a detection region P of a conveyance path 3 interposed. A case 8 of the light emitting unit 6 is stored with a light source 9 for irradiating the detection region P of the conveyance path 3 with the rays of light. A window part 11 of the case 8 is provided with an optical lens 13 for generating, so called, roughly parallel rays of light by making the irradiation range of the rays of light to be emitted from the light source 9 converge to the detection region P side of the conveyance path 3. A case 14 of the light receiving unit 7 is stored with a photo-sensor 15 for receiving fluorescence to be generated from paper money 2 according to the rays of light to be emitted from the light source 9. A window part 17 of the case 14 is provided with an optical lens 19 for making the light reception range of the photo-sensor 15 converge to the detection region P side of the conveyance path 3.
