PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator capable of quickly cooling a storage chamber when starting cooling in a condition in which the storage chamber is not cooled or in a condition in which defrosting ends. SOLUTION: When starting cooling while the storage chamber 6 is not cooled, this refrigerator 1 performs a first cooling mode (F cooling mode) in which refrigerant is made to flow into only an F evaporator 32 for more than predetermined time and performs a third cooling mode (simultaneous cooling mode) in which refrigerant is made to flow into an R evaporator 27 and the F evaporator 32 for more than predetermined time after performing a second cooling mode in which refrigerant is made to flow into at least the R evaporator 27 for more than predetermined time.
