PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint structure of an exterior wall, which can stably secure a predetermined sealing depth and can reduce a construction burden on a job site. SOLUTION: A horizontal joint part of the exterior wall (21) is constituted by infilling a sealing material (86) into a joint gap (27) between upper and lower exterior wall materials (22) and (23) from the outside. A backup material (85) for supporting the sealing material (86) is mounted in advance on a flashing material (40) which is installed in such a manner as to straddle an outer surface of the lower-side exterior wall material (23) from the backside of the upper-side exterior wall material (22).
