PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cold service heat insulating container in which cold air spreads over the whole periphery of a stored article without being influenced by storage conditions of the article to effectively avoid nonuniformity in cooling, when the container is to be used for differential pressure precooling. SOLUTION: The cold service heat insulating container A made of a synthetic resin foam is equipped with a sliding-type open/close lid 30 on the side of an upper opening of a container body 10 and is structured so that an article storage space of the container body is closed while the lid is pushed to the innermost and the space communicates with the outside at two front and rear positions while a part of the lid is drawn out.
