PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a condition where a paper does not slip down backward even when a pinching condition to a drawing part of a rolled paper is released in a recording apparatus wherein printing is performed by using the rolled paper. SOLUTION: A rolled part of a roll-like plotting medium 14 is rotatably supported, and a rotation supporting part of this rolled part is connected to a delivering motor controlled by a controller. The plotting medium 14 drawn out from the rolled part is pinched by a gripping part consisting of a driving roller 60 and a pinching roller 64. The plotting medium 14 is delivered in the X-axis direction by rotating the driving roller 60, and on the other hand, a plotting printing is performed on the plotting medium 14 by a recording head 66, and the rolled part is rotated in the feeding direction by the delivering motor, and the plotting medium 14 is successively fed to the gripping part from the rolling part. When pinching of the plotting medium 14 by the gripping part is released, before releasing, the controller drives the driving roller 60 to perform an action delivering the plotting medium 14 in the paper discharging direction by a predetermined distance.
