PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically cut a wire while aligning a tip shape and the length of the inner diameter inspecting wire. SOLUTION: This inspecting wire cutting method is characterized by having at least a carrying process for carrying the wire, a detecting process of detecting the cut length of the wire, a heating process for heating a cut part of the wire, and a pulling process of pulling by constant force and a speed from both sides of the cut part of the heated wire. The inner diameter inspecting wire cutting device is characterized by having at least a carrying means for carrying the wire, a detecting means for detecting the length of the wire to be cut, a heating means for heating the cut part of the wire, and a pulling means for pulling from both sides of the cut part of the heated wire, on the device.
