The invention relates to a computer modelling method for the core (1) of a nuclear reactor, according to which the core (1) is divided into a plurality of primary grids (2), whereby a sub-section (8) of the core (1) relating to at least one grid (2) is assigned to said grid. The sub-section (8) comprises said grid (2) and a buffer zone (10), which surrounds the grid on the horizontal plane and contains at least the grid (2) that lies immediately adjacent to the first grid (2). The sub-section (8) is sub-divided into a plurality of secondary grids (6), which are smaller than the primary grids (2). In a first computing step, a model of the core (1) is calculated using a nodal calculation method, based on a respective dataset that is assigned to each primary grid (2). In a second computing step, a respective second dataset is assigned to each secondary grid (6) of a sub-section (8) and a model is then calculated for the sub-section (8), based on said dataset and the flows (J) on the border of said sub-section (8) that have been calculated in the first computing step. |
