[PROBLEMS] Conventionally, a float is set at the center of a stock hopper so as to be buried in a stock material and the stock level is measured in terms of vertical displacement of the stock material by static pressure and dynamic pressure. However, variation in the specific gravity of mass, spatula angle, etc. caused by the change in a stock level affects the measurement, and this necessitates the replacement of the float with one having a different shape depending on a stock level, makes the detection of possibility of non-uniform supply by a stock feed roll difficult, and poses a maintenance problem because of the buries float. [MEANS FOR SOLVING THE PROBLEMS] A flour milling machine having a stock hopper (1) with an inlet tube, a stock feed roll (2), feeder gate opening/closing means (4) for opening and closing a feeder gate (3), a pair of crushing rolls (5), and a level sensor (6) for measuring a stock level (Aa). The measured value by the level sensor is inputted into control means (8), and a spacing between the stock feeder roll and the feeder gate and separation of the crushing rolls are controlled by the control means.
