<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording apparatus, which is made excellent in intermittent ejectability by restraining the viscosity of ultraviolet curing ink from being increased by light leakage and which can decrease an ejection voltage by restraining the viscosity of the ink containing dispersed pigment particulates from being increased by thixotropy, and an inkjet recording method. <P>SOLUTION: This inkjet recording apparatus is equipped with: a recording head which ejects the ultraviolet curing ink in a channel to a recording medium from a nozzle while moving relatively to the recording medium, by imparting an ejection signal to a pressure generating means of the channel; a light source for curing the ink by irradiating the ink immediately after ejection with ultraviolet rays; and a microvibration signal generating means which imparts a microvibration signal, for preventing the viscosity of the ink from being increased by microvibrating a meniscus in the nozzle so as to bring the ink in the nozzle into contact with air outside the nozzle and for suppressing an increase in the viscosity of the ink due to thixotropy by using an agitating effect, to a pressure generating means of a nonejection channel of the recording head. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
