<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display which can prevent interference fringes at a liquid crystal display part from being viewed and simplify the constitution of a connector for supplying electric power to a light source of backlight. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display has a liquid crystal panel and a plurality of linear light sources, provided juxtaposed, in a plane facing at least a liquid crystal display part of the liquid crystal panel. These light sources are driven by a signal waveform, having the same frequency as that of for data writing of the liquid crystal display panel; and adjacent light sources are grouped and driven with the inverted signal waveform for light sources of adjacent other groups, so that the signal waveform is supplied from a connector which is different from the light sources of the other groups. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
