PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive dishwasher compactly furnished with functions for dishes or the like of selecting washing courses, adding a sterilizing capacity, enhancing drying efficiency, and washing without detergent, and capable of easily restoring the functions by replacing or refilling in case any of those functions should be worsened. SOLUTION: This dishwasher, designed to wash, rinse, and dry dishes 45 thereafter, is provided with a plurality of water supply channels 20 and 22 for supplying a wash tub 2 with water to wash or rinse the dishes 45 put therein, a pump 7 and circulating channels 6 and 9 which are used to circulate water within the wash tub 2 while spraying water through a nozzle 11 to the dishes 45, a functioning means 24 which is located midway on one or more of the water supply channels 20 and 22 so as to add a functioning substance 26 to water with regard to the functions related to washing the dishes 45, with the functioning substance 26 being made replaceable or refillable, and switching means 18 and 19 which perform the switching between the water supply channels 20 and 22.
