PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat crosslinkable vinyl polymer with excellent molding property and heat-resistance of a molded body. SOLUTION: The heat crosslinkable vinyl polymer contains a vinyl monomer (A) having a group represented by general formula (1) or (2) as an indispensable constitution unit. In general formula (1) or (2), R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>represent each a hydrogen atom or an organic group having carbon atoms of 1-10; R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>may be the same or different; X represents a halogen atom or a group represented by any one of chemical formulae of -S(O)-R<SP>3</SP>, -OSO<SB>2</SB>-R<SP>3</SP>-N(O)R<SP>3</SP><SB>2</SB>and -NR<SP>3</SP><SB>3</SB>OH (R<SP>3</SP>is methyl, phenyl or benzyl). As (A), the monomer represented by any one of general formulae (3)-(13) is preferable. In general formulae (3)-(13), R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP>and X have each the same meanings as in formulae (1) and (2), R<SP>4</SP>represents a hydrogen atom or a 1-10C organic group and R<SP>5</SP>represents a hydrogen atom or methyl.
