PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiator with its cooling performance improved, with the increase of the manufacturing cost suppressed to the utmost. SOLUTION: In upper radiating fins 10-1 and lower radiating fins 13-1 for dissipating the heat produced by an LD array 17 mounted on the radiator 4-1, the distances from fin tips to fin bases are designed to be alternately long or short. In the radiator 4-1, the bases of the long-size fins nearer to the end faces 3a and 1a of the mount for the LD array 17 are arranged in a straight line, and the bases of the short-size fins remoter from the end faces 3a and 1a than the bases of the long-size fins are arranged in a straight line. In an intermediate heat receiving body 2-1, at the bases of the long-size and short-size radiating fins in the radiating fins 10-1 and 13-1 of an upper heat receiving body 3-1 and a lower heat receiving body 1-1, continuous holes 11a and 11b are formed for communication between ducts 120a, 120b, 130a, and 130b.
