PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric vibration device compatible with high frequencies for preventing breakage of lead electrodes and enhancing the mechanical strength of a piezoelectric substrate. SOLUTION: In the piezoelectric vibration device configured to include a package 4 on which a piezoelectric substrate is mounted, the piezoelectric substrate 1 being of almost a polygonal shape on plane view wherein a thin middle part 11, a thick outer frame part 12 formed to surround the middle part, and a step part 13 connecting the middle part and the outer frame part are integrally formed, the middle part is formed with an exciting electrode 21 and the lead electrodes 24, 25 for extending the exciting electrode to a corner of the piezoelectric substrate and includes a corner part close to the corner of the piezoelectric substrate and formed only to extended parts of the lead electrodes, a conductive joining member D is introduced from the corner of the piezoelectric substrate to the corner part of the middle part to electromechanically join connection electrodes of the package and the lead electrodes of the piezoelectric substrate.
