PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem with a conventional broadcast program automatic selection system that much time and labor has been required for selecting a prescribed program after selecting a received broadcast by a broadcast switching button in the case of selecting the prescribed program among a plurality of broadcast channels and a user cannot have easily viewed a desired program. SOLUTION: The viewer first registers a desired channel, the system disclosed herein automatically searches a program during power ON or for each prescribed time without the need for the viewer to select the program by itself, and when programs satisfying the condition are detected, since the programs are automatically displayed on a full screen or automatically and sequentially displayed on sub screen, the viewer can easily select the desired program and view the program.
