PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitor system for increasing the reliability of the notification of an abnormal state notified from each sensor terminal unit posterior to the start of a monitor operation. SOLUTION: This monitor system is provided with a plurality of sensor terminal units 1 and 2 for monitoring a normal state or an abnormal state and a main device 3 for communicating with the sensor terminal units. The sensor terminal units 1 and 2 and the main device 3 are respectively provided with information communicating means 7, 8, 25 and 26 for transmitting or receiving information related with the normal state or the abnormal state, a monitor operation start signal and a monitor operation end signal from the main device 3 and a response signal corresponding to the monitor operation start signal and the monitor operation end signal. At the time of receiving the monitor operation start signal from the main device 3, the sensor terminal units 1 and 2 supply a power to a sensor circuit 5, and wait for the transmission of the information related with the abnormal state to the main device 3 until the lapse of a fixed time after the power supply to the sensor circuit 5.
