PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for measuring the compression rigidity of a hose, capable of measuring the compression rigidity in the radial direction of the hose along the entire hose length. SOLUTION: In the method, a pair of rollers 10, which are mutually held at a prescribed spacing shorter than the outside diameter of the hose A, are arranged opposite to each other in the radial direction of the hose A; and reaction forces, acting on the rollers 10 in the radial direction of the hose A, are continuously measured, while moving the hose A along its axial direction, which is disposed between respective rollers 10, whereby the compression rigidity in the radial direction can be continuously measured along the axial direction of the hose A, based on the reaction forces of the hose A; and the lack of rigidity of the hose A can be easily tested over the entire length of the hose A.
