PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely impart a suitable preload by improving the structure of a preload means consisting of a pressing part and a receiver without inhibiting the function of a pressing member. SOLUTION: A fixed type uniform motion universal joint is provided with an outer ring 10 having a spherical inner surface where a plurality of track grooves 14 are formed, an inner ring 20 having a spherical outer surface where a plurality of track grooves 24 are formed, a ball 30 arranged in a wedge type ball track in cooperation with the track grooves 14 of the outer ring 10 and the track grooves 24 of the inner ring 20, and a retainer 40 arranged between the spherical inner surface 12 of the outer ring 10 and the spherical outer surface 22 of the inner ring 20, and installs the pressing part 52 to apply elastic pressure force in the axial direction at the inner ring 20 side, and the receiver 58 to receive the pressure force from the pressing part 52 at the retainer 40 side. Only the neighborhood of a base end in a plunger unit in which the pressing part 52 is formed at the end is pressed in a recess 2a of a shaft 2 connected to the inner ring 20.
