PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound useful for producing piperidine derivatives useful for an antihistamine, an antiallergic agent or a bronchodilator. SOLUTION: The invention relates to the piperidine derivative protected by hydroxyethylphenyl alcohol and the method for producing the same, and the method for producing the piperidine derivative useful as antihistamine by using the same.
