PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide glass which dose not contain PbO, can be used for covering transparent electrodes for the front board of PDP, and has excellent stability as glass. SOLUTION: The glass for covering the electrodes is substantially composed of, by mol in terms of oxides, 60-78% ZnO, 5-18% P<SB>2</SB>O<SB>5</SB>, 5-30% B<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, 0-15% SiO<SB>2</SB>, and 0-2.5% CuO. The glass contains SiO<SB>2</SB>, and total content of SiO<SB>2</SB>and B<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>is≤30mol.%. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
