PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved device having no fear of rubbing the back in lifting, by stably lifting without swinging, in a bathing helping device. SOLUTION: This bathing aid is composed of a seat surface for seating a person to be cared, a lifting mechanism for lifting the seat surface, and a case placeable on the rim of a bathtub by arranging the lifting mechanism; and urges bathing of the person to be cared by lifting the seat surface in hot water from above a hot water surface in the bathtub. The device is constituted so that a rolling body making rolling contacting with a wall surface of the bathtub continuing with the rim for supporting the case, or a sliding body making sliding contacting with the wall surface, is arranged on the back side of the seat surface, and the seat surface is lifted with the wall surface of the bathtub as a guide surface.
