A sports game apparatus comprising a sports action figure (10), a target (14) and a ball (12). The figure (10) includes a body (16) and one or more limbs (22A and 22B). At least one of the limbs (28) includes a joint (26B) having biasing means permitting displacements of the limb (22B) about a plurality of axes. The ball (12) is in operative co-operation with the action figure (10) such that the limb on displacement about the joint (26B) and against the force of the biasing means can thereafter be released and urged into contact with the ball (12). The ball (12) is directed toward the target (14).
