A drive module (3) powered by an internal combustion engine, turbine or electric motor is pivotally connected to each corner of the hull, the pivot axis extending parallel to the hull base. At least one lift module (6) is located between the hulls and can be pivoted about bolts (8) with the aid of supports (7) between an upper position and a lower position using a hydraulic or electric cylinder (9). The support surface profile (10) extends parallel to the intended water line. At least one mast (12) mounted on the vessel deck or superstructure has its top end pivotally connected to an additional mast (13) using a bolt (14). This additional mast can be raised in order to unfurl a square sail (15) rolled up on the lower yard (16).
