<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which performs power saving operation according to the situation, when some amount of money is still left in a charge slot machine in the image forming apparatus to which the charge slot machine is connected and which operates so that use is permitted, according to the amount slotted in the charge casting machine. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus has an image reading part which reads an image from an original to obtain image data; an image forming part which forms the image on a form, on the basis of the image data; a display operating part, which displays information to a user and in which the user inputs the operation instructions; and a control means for controlling the operation of the image forming apparatus. The charge slot machine is connected to image forming apparatus which operates so that the use is permitted, according to the amount cast in the charge slot machine. The control means differentiates power saving processing to be performed, according to the length of non-operating time by the user, in a state with the amount of money cast in the charge slot machine is sufficient for the amount of charge for operating the image forming apparatus. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
