<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small direct methanol fuel cell suitable as a power source of portable electronic equipment such as a mobile phone, a notebook computer, or a PDA. <P>SOLUTION: A fuel cell A is formed in such a way that an electrolyte layer is installed on the outer surface part of a fuel electrode body and an air electrode layer is installed on the outer surface part of the electrolyte layer to form a unit cell, a plurality of unit cells are connected, and a fuel supply body 30 having penetration structure to be connected to a fuel storage tank 10 storing liquid fuel or a fuel electrode body is connected to each unit cell 20 to supply the liquid fuel F, and the direct methanol fuel cell has a collector body 11 in a supply mechanism supplying liquid fuel F from the fuel storage tank 10 to the fuel supply body 30.
