PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage battery equipped with a belt-like handle which does not hinder fixation while the belt-like handle is being attached, or does not block a liquid port plug installed at the upper face of a cap of the battery, in order to avoid obstacles that may occur, caused by presence of the belt-like handle on the upper face of the cap of the battery, or may disturb re-filling of liquid when the battery is fixed with the fixing fittings while the belt-like handle is being attached. SOLUTION: In the storage battery 1 provided with the belt-like handle 6, a groove part 8 is installed at a position different from that of the liquid port plug or a terminal on the upper face 3 of the cap of the battery 1, and a hook part 9 for hanging the belt-like handle is installed on the side face of the battery.
