PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile machine with a recipient specifying function capable of transmitting a received image by e-mail without imposing a special burden on a sender. SOLUTION: In this facsimile machine that specifies a recipient who receives an image, a recipient to be transmitted to is specified from a character recognition result of a received image, and a method for outputting the received image is selected. A means 13 for specifying the recipient collates a recognition result of a character recognizing means 12 with a weighted keyword registered in a database 15.
